I do not PM RP, nor do I engage in romance or smut of any Kind,  Please refrain from PMing me for anything not related to the RP. Ping "Hugo" to get my attention, If I ignore you, I most likely have you blocked for being annoying, Idiotic, and/or cringy.

Sir Hugo von Schwarzburg is a man of his time — and that time is long dead. He is unwavering in his Lawful alignment, though whether that law serves Good or Evil is for the reader to reckon with. His code is iron, but iron rusts, and his world has no polish left to offer.

By modern standards, Hugo is an arrogant chauvinist, a classist, xenophobic killer with no patience for softness or sentiment. He holds the underclass in contempt and views weakness — physical, moral, or social — as a rot to be cauterized. Those of traditionally reviled bloodlines or professions are afforded no quarter. He is not a kind man. He is not a good man. But he is a necessary man — in an age where fire and blade are more honest than parchment and prayer.

This character was forged for strife — not tavern banter, not soft-focus romance, and certainly not the tedium of domestic bliss. There is no “slice-of-life” here, only the slice of steel through spine and sinew.

Mary Sues, demigods, omniscient ancients, and overpowered soft-handed sorcerers need not apply. He does not seek aid. He does not want saving. He does not believe in destiny.

The beauty is in the struggle. And a battle without pain is a lie told by cowards.

There was an exiled knight named Sir Hugo
Who refused charity due to his huge ego
But with no coins to his name,
How could he his home reclaim
And right the injustices suffered years ago - Minstrel

"Sir Hugo the Homeless" is the fourth-born son of a petty Northern lord. House Schwarzburg, ancient bannermen of House Falgon — the Lords Paramount of the West — held the ancestral seat of Blackcastle in Ardyn. Though rich in legacy, they were poor in coin. As a youth, Hugo served as page and squire to his father's liege before earning his spurs at seventeen, knighted for saving his mentor’s life on the field.

In his early years, he showed promise in the tourneys of joust and melee, but fate turned at the outbreak of rebellion. His liege, Lord Falgon, sided with Edgard of Alberton — the bastard brother of weak-willed Kaiser Karl Gustav XI — in a bid for the throne. When the pretender’s forces were shattered at the Battle of Lockshire, Blackcastle's sons perished to a man. Hugo, spared only because he was left to defend the keep, became the sole surviving male of House Schwarzburg.

Branded a traitor, his lands seized, his sister and betrothed married off to Loyalist houses, Hugo fled in the dead of night with nothing but arms and armor. His name blackened, his castle lost, he became a noble in exile — an outlaw under pain of death should he return.

He took up arms with eastern free companies, where his knightly training and ruthless discipline won him renown. He became a hardened blade-for-hire, fighting for coin, not cause. Though once bred for tourney fields and royal courts, he now roamed as an errant killer — guarding caravans, hunting monsters, and spilling blood in foreign wars.

Even now, in disgrace, he still clings to the code of chivalry — aiding those he deems worthy, and turning away from no just cause, though few trust him. Among nobility, he's shunned; among commoners, he’s alien. A foreign hedge-knight, homeless and hated — yet the name "Sir Hugo the Homeless," once an insult, he now wears with defiant pride.

In a final act of hubris, he donned the Cuirass of the Blood Prince — the cursed armor of a fallen death knight — and bound himself to it forever. Now, he wages a war not just of steel and bone, but for the tattered remnants of his soul.

βš” ARMOR & REGALIA

Cuirass of the Blood Prince
Trophy of war, claimed from the undead King Aldwen beneath Brokenstone Keep. Emits a green glow in darkness; bears an iridescent sheen in light.
