It is said that when you find a genie’s resting place, that genie then owes you three free wishes for setting it free. Depending on the person who is making them, then those wishes could either be good or bad, wholesome, or even debilitating. No matter which way it goes however a genie is bound by ancient magic and unknown reason to grant these requests.

General wishing rules are; No resurrecting the dead, No trying to make someone fall in love with you or anyone else, and definitely no asking for more wishes. And well, most of that is true.

Bringing someone back from the dead probably wouldn’t go down the way you would want it too. If anything it would result in a bunch of decomposing flesh and rotting bones, never a pretty sight really...

Trying to get someone to fall in love never really works out according to plan either, mainly because no one can ever make someone just fall in love for no reason. The closest thing to love you’re going to get is infatuation and who knows how far one will go for someone that they “love”.

As beings who never age and/or die by any usual means, the majority are already rather morally ambiguous by nature as it is. After living through time and watching countless empires, kingdoms, and nations rise and fall at the hands of humans for eons, most usually serving as a conduit in too many questionable deeds or sometimes as just decoration pieces to sit, look pretty, and watch... It'll leave anyone's outlook on general life and humanity a little askew. Kamilla herself has served under infamous tyrants who purposefully kept her bound to them and never wished her free of them.

Genies who's masters die before they can be set free are usually the ones found centuries later in whatever desolate cave, vast deserted wasteland, or even the everyday pawnshop for the simple fact that after such events, a genie can not leave their confinement unless summoned and or claimed by someone else, so they are left to simmer in their bitterness at their last human master and go stir-crazy from being encased so long. Most who get let out like to twist words and wishes as a means of entertainment or otherwise when finally found.

However, there are a few benevolent Genies that somehow have still held onto their faith in humanity and that in which it entails. Some could say that these few are even fascinated by them and the concept of being "human."

Kamilla was never put into a lamp She is bound to an enchanted necklace of great value. The great value inside that necklace being her very soul that is bound to the metal itself and if someone is to find this necklace while she rests or Kamilla has willingly given herself to whoever she deems fit, she is now bound to them as to be rather blunt, as their servant. They have her everything, heart, body, and soul, for as long as they are willing to have her and she will do anything to keep her master safe and satisfied.
So to touch back on the third rule, it means that they get unlimited wishes, but only when she's claimed.

This cheerful Genie has, unfortunately, had plenty of bad eggs wear her around their neck, each one of them harder to forget then the last... Yet when Kamilla thinks back to her time with the long and rich family of farmers and shop-owners that she had been with for centuries as well, passed down from generation to generation as a prized family heirloom she can't help but to feel things for them. Long to hear their laughter at family gatherings again even though they've long since been laid to rest. Kamilla had watched over and protected that family of merchants as her own and vowed to protect them and the sweet memories they would make and share for as long as she could.

That is until she was stolen off of one of their necks one day...

Kamilla later found out that the thug was actually a young teen desperate for money to feed his own family and well... She's a bit of a softie.
