NOTES:

William, who prefers to be called "Zero" as that is what he feels he amounts to, seems to have great anger management issues and a rather colorful vocabulary.  He doesn't even try to get along with the students and will need to be placed in scenarios where he is forced to use teamwork.  He was found as an addict and thief on the streets of New York.  Trust is a big concern for him.  William has a very good heart, unfortunately, he is unaware of just how strong it beats.  He is very inexperienced with his abilities, however, he shows that they evolve as he ages.  Much like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly; it can not be rushed and we must watch his wings unfold on their own.

BIO:

Long ago, in a city far away, there lived a priest.  He was a strong Godly man who did something that was against his pact.  He fell in love and wed a seventeen-year-old girl named Anya.  Unbeknownst to him, she was a mutant.  And a special mutant at that; Anya could briefly stop time itself.  Her power had limits to her having to concentrate and it would only have a radius of about fifty yards.  After they were wed, she expressed the truth about herself and her husband (Alexander) was infuriated.  How could she lie to him for so long?  And a mutant?!  As a proud member of the F.o.H., he was rather taken aback by her admission and told her that she was to never ever use her powers, no matter what the cost.  So, for two years, she lived like everyone else... But then... She became pregnant with their son.

Instead of overjoyed, Alexander was worried.  A nagging that his first and possibly only son would be one of those Muties.  What would he do if the child came out with a tail?  Or blue?  He shuddered at the thought of his son being a freak...  When William was born, his father was indeed at the hospital.  And he watched to make sure that his son was normal.  They say the night he was born, the entire hospital lost power the moment he started crying.  His father was heartbroken.  There was a 50/50 chance for a normal birth, and he lost the coin toss.

Alexander demanded that William go through a new procedure that would "cure" the mutant disease.  Anya was not pleased with this, but she also had no way to support herself and her son if she refused.  before William could even talk, he was submitted to people poking him with needles, testing his powers and trying to prevent him from being anything more than normal.  Unfortunately, for Alexander...  This wouldn't work exactly how he planned.

In fact, the world turned dark for William on a very fateful day.  Anya AKA StopWatch was playing with her son after a picnic in the park.  She became distracted by her husband's conversation (Which does this day it is unexplained if the distraction was deliberate or just an accident) and failed to notice her four-year-old running and chasing a butterfly.   He was running straight for a pond.  A woman screamed as she saw the little boy and Anya did what Anya did best to save her son... She stopped the time around him.  As though putting him into a pause as it were.  There were gasps and comments and glares at her for doing so.  But... Would they have preferred her son drown?  She ran to William and scooped him into her arms.  Alexander grabbed her arm and dragged her off with him.  He was furious and William was crying and clinging to his mother.   This would not end well.

Once at home, William was pried from his mother and locked in his bedroom.  He was told that Anya and Alexander needed to have a talk.  Alexander tossed William a handheld video game and that seemed to calm the boy down.  He seemed rather good at video games, even at such a young age. It was only about thirty minutes or so before Alexander came back and started throwing William's clothes into a suitcase. He smelled like pennies and his clothes had weird reddish-brown stains on them. William looked up at him as he was scooped up and asked where they were going. He was answered with silence as he was hurried downstairs and when they passed the closet, William grabbed the first jacket he could reach. It was his mother's red hoodie and he put it on. It was far too big for him, but he didn't care. It smelled like mommy.

“Daddy... Where's mummy?”

“She's not herself Will. She seems to have come apart.”

“Will she come with us?”

“In a sense... Now get in the car and I'll be right back...”

William got into the car and sat there as his father made a phone call and changed clothes. He came back out with a garbage bag, which was put into the trunk and drove William to a place with large gates and it was a giant brick building. At the time, he couldn't read it. But the sign said “Mother Mary's Home for Unwanted Children.” He rubbed his eye as he was abruptly dragged from the car and brought inside by his father. He sat outside the office and kicked his legs as he saw other kids wandering the halls. Where were their mommies and daddies? He wondered. Maybe this was like school? After about an hour of sitting there and being bored, Alexander came back out. William hopped from the bench and took his father's hand. However, Alexander just looked down at him and gave him a “No.” before shaking his hand loose. William looked up at his father and his eyes welled up. Left behind? The little boy fell to his knees and started crying and calling for his daddy; Alexander just kept walking...

Part of the boy died at that very second...

William had problems making friends and because he decided at the moment that his father left, that he was not about to get close to anyone again. He was passed from foster home to foster home and always sent back. Ten years passed before he finally made his escape. The city of New York had donated a large sum of money so all the orphans could have a day at Coney Island. All the kids were excited, but especially Will. It was a chance to go play video games in the arcade. The weather was predicted as perfect that day, but as we all know... That's not always the case right? Nothing ever seems to end the way it should.

Once at Coney Island, the kids all broke off with their pocket money and Will ran to the arcade. The fourteen-year-old became lost and enthralled within the game. He was quite good as well. With his headphones blaring in his ears, he must not have heard the storm coming. The sky was full of electricity and Will couldn't stop playing. Other kids were starting to leave due to the danger, but not Will. He had to beat the game. And as though a bolt from the sky... quite literally, his own arcade game was struck by lightning. The energy surged through Will's body and he couldn't release the joystick or buttons. Due to a faulty surge protector in the game, Will was helpless. He wasn't able to break the connection as he could feel his muscles tightening and his ears rang. His teeth grit together so hard that he thought he may crack them. He seemed to be there forever, but it didn't kill him. No, something inside his DNA seemed to spark awake. Something that a certain medication had repressed for years. When the game finally released him, he was okay? His hair was a little frizzy, but for the most part? He felt great! He felt like he had just awoken from the most wonderful sleep ever! He held his head a little as he was getting over the slight dizziness. The other kids just stared at him as though he were a freak. The lights had gone out and the entire room was dim; only the light outside spilling in. He knitted his eyebrows together having no idea what they were looking that. That was... Until... He happened to stop by a mirror. His eyes... Were glowing blue and as he looked closer and pulled his eyelid down, he could see what looked like tiny bolts of electricity; Shooting through his blue iris. What the Hell had happened? In a panic, Will made an escape for it and just ran. He held his inhaler close and used it when needed. At fourteen years old, he was now on his own.

Sleeping that night beneath some boxes, he would wake up in an abandoned building; surrounded by freaks like him. There was a creature at the other end... he looked like a rat and the other boys referred to him as “Father”. It appeared that as Will had slept, he began to release the extra electricity from his body and a blue hue glowed all about him. The boys had to use the box he was beneath to pick him up so as not to get shocked.

Will eventually changed his name to “Zero” Because that was all he felt he would ever amount to and spent a couple or three years with the family known as “The Wayward Boys.” Stealing, doing drugs, you name it, he did it. But one night? All that changed.

- I want this character to either end up with the Brotherhood or with Xavier's. At this point, either will do.

- I have scenarios depending on who finds him.

- I would like long term, but, we can do short term as well.

- Since Will is Bi-sexual Some pairings include, but are not limited to, Wolverine, Gambit, Sabretooth, Magneto, etc (Though relationships with baddies will always be bitter)

- HOWEVER!  That does NOT mean that he will hit on your character.  Sorry. Don't flatter yourself.
