Raena's Story

Raena is... complicated.

If you read nothing else, read the summary. The wall of text is only for those reaaaally interested in the story!

Summary

Raena grew up orphaned to a Dark Elf mage, who had taken her in due to her magical aptitude. Almost her entire life was spent learning various magics. She was taught the ways of pacifism, and ways to use her magic to nonviolently resolve conflict. She excells at using utility magics, telekenises and telepathy, and more recently, transmutation. She has a hard time with transmutation however. Her adoptive father abandoned her. Years later, she returned home, wiser from travels, and found a journal detailing what exactly happened. At this time, she learned that in the mansion, time passes more slowly, thus she is likely much older than she thinks, and that she may have been born a male, and due to her latent magical abilities, lacked a static gender. In present time, Raena is actually fairly open about taking on any gender role, but identifies mainly with her female form. Early Life

Raena was a child of rape, a bastard, never knew her father. She was born to a poor woman, yet despite her poverty she must have been beautiful, as she inherited much of her looks from her.At the age of five, a man came to her. He was a strange man, tall and thin of frame, with skin as black as night. Hidden under his hood, she could catch the faint glimpse of pointed ears. A drow. At first she was wary of him, but he soothed her and charmed her, and told her how he had seen her and her mother's complicated situation. Unknown to Raena, the man had also approached her mother, and made a deal with her. Her mother was desperate, and could barely feed the two of them. She was getting tired. The man told Raena's mother that her daughter had immense magical potential, and offered to take Raena in and train her and give her a good life and education. She accepted. The Learning

One day though, not long after her eighth birthday, Vourn surprised her. He began to tell her of how he noticed her own latent magical abilities developing with her age, and informed her that it was time for her to begin a whole new sort of learning. Magic. Day after day, hours were devoted to the learning of magics throughout her own childhood. At first it was utility magic, any sort of utility spell that could be imagined, she learned. She took to learning magic just as easily as she learned her letters, quickly picking things up in ways that surprised her teacher. As she grew, so did her ability. She eventually learned magics of telekinesis, and some healing. Never once was she taught any spell whose sole purpose was to harm another. Time after time she was taught, magic is to be used as a tool, not as a weapon. Even as she learned new schools of magic, she honed the skills she had built it all on top of.

As she became older, the fact that she had even known her mother began to fade from her memory, and in time was completely lost. The only family she had ever known to remember was Vourn. She even adopted his last name. By now she was quite adept, and surprisingly potent with her various schools of magic, but there was one yet that had to be learned. Transmutation.

This was the only school of magic that was actually a challenge for her. Transmutation takes immense concentration and skill, one mistake and you'll find yourself transformed, or your object transformed, with some rather glaring flaws. Not only that, but the act of transforming is incredibly painful, well, more painful the more you change. Changing your hair color, or body fat? Near painless, changing your bone structure into an animal? Incredibly excruciating.

Four years were spent learning just this school of magic, up until she was 17, when she had a basic grasp of how to use it and control it consistently. It was very difficult to make major changes, and she certainly didn't like doing it, but if the need or whim arises, she can change. She can even change some objects, though it's incredibly taxing on her mental stamina.

And then he left.One day, he was just gone. The man who had taught her, and raised her, and loved her as his own was simply gone, disappeared. Without a trace. For a year she kept his home and waited for him, practicing her skills, but he never returned.So she left, she went to explore the world that she had been cloistered away from, she got jobs here and there, even made some friends. She made a point of helping those she could with her magic. She felt that's what he would have wanted.

The Awakening

Years have passed, and Raena has certainly grown the wiser for it, having seen much of the world in search for any sign of her father, and in that search she found herself. She never found any trace of her father. Now 21 years old, Raena returned to that old mansion, now having begun to slowly become overgrown with various vines.

With fresh eyes, she decided to explore her old home again, thinking perhaps she missed something. During her explorations, she used much of her magic to clean up and return the place to it's former glory. The biggest timesink though were the numerous libraries. She left no book unopened, unread. Or at very least unskimmed. It would take her years to go through all of them. She learned new things, spells, history, even the basics of some languages. Two months into the search though, she came onto something remarkable. A small, leatherbound journal signed 'Vourn Aleval'. What she read in this book rocked her world.

 

Almost every entry mentioned her in it, from the first to the last. And quickly she learned that everything she knew about herself was.. wrong. At least partially. She learned that at a young age, she had something of a curse that had caused her mother strife, finding that curse was the reason for being handed over to the Dark Elven mage. Her latent magical abilities caused her to.. transform, in minor ways, most often shown by a change in gender, but there were occasional bizarre accidents as a result of lack of training. Vourn had taken her in to train her to control it, and had kept her a static gender until she could do so on her own.

 

Not only that, but as she read on in the journal, she noticed a bizarre inconsistency. The days and years kept getting numbered longer and longer, surpassing her own age by about twenty years, yet still mentioning her as a young girl, a teenager, a woman. There must have been a time-altering effect within the mansion, causing time to flow slower. And finally, in the final entry, she finds closure. Vourn had written a journal entry directly to her, for when she someday finds it. It explains to her why he left, that he had grown too old, and it was nearing time for him to pass on, even elves eventually leave this world.

Raena could not even begin to grasp what she had learned at first. Thinking it couldn't be true. She feels lied to, and hurt, deceived. It occurs to her that she doesn't even know her own gender. She feels like she doesn't know who she is anymore, she doesn't even know how old she really is. She buries herself in the mass of knowledge that these libraries contain to distract herself from her inner turmoil.

 

Two years passed before Raena finally came to terms with herself. She realizes that, despite all she learned, it doesn't change who she is. She is Raena Aleval. She's come to terms that to herself, she has no gender, and has decided to embrace that fact, allowing herself to change between a male and a female at whim, no longer at the beck and call of that 'curse' that originally brought her to this place. Still she tends to associate herself with the female gender. As she suspected, the two years in this place barely aged her. Having learned everything to learn in this place, she again sets out into the world, this time to make a living for herself, perhaps as an adventurer, or maybe she'll find a man, or woman, to marry and live with the rest of her life. Where her future takes her, she doesn't know, but she intends to live her own life.

Alternative Backstory Pt 1 (Aisha Perotta)

Raena's backstory is fairly similar, but very different things have happened in more recent times. After leaving her home to explore the world, she found herself encountering many, many people who enjoyed her company, especially her sexual company. On any given night, she was generally able to find a partner of any gender, though she didn't do so frequently. She often was shy and timid at first towards people, before revealing her underlying needs and wants, which of course drew the dominant types towards her. One such woman, Aisha Perotta, found Raena and took her away for months, disappeared from the public. Only recently has she reappeared in a public setting, the SmutHaven, and has found herself staffed there. She is still ultimately devoted to her Mistress, Aisha, but is allowed to do as she wants, so long as in the end, she's Aisha's.

Raena was given various markings by her Mistress. On each of her perky nipples are silver bars, with a design spiralling outward around her areolas decoratively, a similar type of piercing through her belly button. There is also a simple silver bar through her clitoral hood, just above her shaved-smooth slit. Upon her rear, on each of her cheeks, are very intricately and perfectly placed brands, on one cheek is the image of a stylized feral Hyena, and on the other, the sillhouette profile of a hermaphrodite plowing into a woman's mouth.

Alternative Backstory Pt 2 (Vilanda)

Since Raena was taken by Aisha, she has since grown more and more experienced in the ways, so to speak. Through her time at the Haven, she came to love a few people, Gwendolyn, Kururi. At night though, she would still return to Aisha's mansion for all manner of treatment, pleasurable and brutal - she got used to it.

Later on, she was tasked with learning to summon demons of pleasure, for her Mistress of course. Raena is a talented magician, but even talented magicians make mistakes... and she did.She summoned a succubus by the name of Vilanda, and lord was she gorgeous. Tall, sensual, and in the nude. Having made a mistake, the Succubus was free to leave the summoning circle and torment Raena, yet to her surprise, she was given a most gentle time. When all was said and done, a deal was struck. Raena was to give her body and soul to the Succubus, in return for being kept safe by the Succubus... in hell. A good alternative to death, she's convinced. She was left with a brand new marking, a dark mark in the shape of a woman's lips encircling her right nipple. What will come next... who knows?
