Bio

King was born a few short months after the death of Portgas D. Ace his biological father to Makino of Foosha Village. While his parents had been long time friends the two were hardly what one might say were in love. They cared about one another and both have a fondness for the other and Luffy his sworn uncle.

King grew up with stories of his father, his uncle, and his grandfather Garp and his biological grandfather Gol D. Roger. Combining that with his upbringing among the Dadan Family of bandits King grew up in a rough but loving home. As such he grew up learning how to take a hit and to land one by the time he learned to walk and talk King was scrapping with some of the younger bandits showing surprising strength.

When Garp finally retired from the Marines he would return to Foosha Village to see him. Using his connections he had kept King a well guarded secret. After this retirement he would begin King's training in earnest taking him through the mountains and forcing him to survive on his own for weeks on end.

Combined with his education from the bandits King found he could become a grand pirate if he really sought out that life. Garp allowed him to pick his own path but was definitely pushing him not to make a name for himself just because he feared a repeat of what happened with Ace. Though with Luffy becoming King of the Pirates this hope was pretty much for not, as King sought to match his uncle in power.

King would continue his training with Garp and the others for several years, until he was nearly 16 years old which was roughly the age of his father and uncle setting out. Sneaking off the island in the middle of the night to set out on his adventure in his desires to meet and learn from others who had known his father.

At first he would go and see the world though, picking pockets and the like on the Sabaody archipelago to make ends meet this was were he met the old and weary Silvers Rayleigh. Seeing something in King he took him aside and once he discovered who he was he began to teach the boy things to better himself and to keep him alive as he wanted to keep Roger's grandson alive as long as possible.

Rayleigh would take up his training for nearly a year, as Garp had taught King armament haki and how to increase his strength, he focused on honing his observation haki, his reflexes, and of course how to unlock his conqueror's haki. Rayleigh would leave him for two years on the island to hone his own techniques and further his physical techniques. He would learn Rayleigh's invisible haki techniques allowing him to deliver a grazing punch that could absolutely wreck a foe unprepared for it.

During his time on the island he had sent a letter or two to his mother. When he was getting ready to leave after this three and a half years away from home he got one of her letters. She stated she was proud of him but worried. That she loved him and he could always come home but she knew he was a pirate at heart and to follow that heart to and over the horizon and to whatever destiny he sought.

Taking her letter with him he dubbed his crew the Heart Pirates. The jolly roger of his crew was a skull with an open mouth and a heart filling that open jaw. The crew he got together were skilled and good sturdy crew but virtually nameless men whom he had pieced together after his years of training. As he sought out the sea he would keep track of his uncle the reigning King of the Pirates. He wouldn't be able to be there for Luffy's later execution but he did witness it through a Den Den Mushi and he raised a glass to his uncle.

During his journey he ran into what had once been the Whitebeard Pirates under the Captain Marco. After revealing his parentage and of course his attitude and appearance convinced Marco he was indeed firefist's son Marco took him under his wing and began to teach him how to be a good captain and how to treat his crew like family. It was not long after this his crew mostly broke apart as many didn't care about being treated well but wanted a steady supply of loot. As such Marco suggested kicking those lot to the curb because when it came down to it, they where more a danger than an asset.

Devil Fruit

The Nendou Nedou no Mi, also known as the Psychokinesis Fruit, makes the user a Psychokinetic Human.

The user of this fruit possesses the ability to manipulate things from afar with his mind. There are several limitations to this fruit that should be noted.

King can only lift an object with mass equal to the amount of mass his physical body can actually lift.

King can exert only as much force as his physical body can exert althought this can be applied to a much more focused area, allowing King to slice through even thick amounts of metal and stone with relative ease so long as he possesses the physical capability to apply that much force normally.

King's manipulation of objects and energy only work on inorganic things such as metal, fire, light, water.

There exist only two exceptions to this previous limitation. King can manipulate and move his own body and any living thing that King is physically in touch with can be manipulated as he would anything else, but he must remain in physical contact with the living thing.

Because this thought force is directly connected to King he can imbue his haki into this energy to allow him to effect Logia users though he is still hindered by his inability to directly manipulate living things.

Gear

King carries with him various gear to provide him an edge in combat and utility.

Shackles - King carries several metal bands on his forearms that he can send at a foe to trap their limbs.

Shield - King carries a chainmail scarf around his neck. This scarf extends down to his waist on both sides even though it is wrapped around King twice meaning its length is somewhere near 7 feet. King can use this to create a physical blocker for someone or use it to restrain a foe.

Haki infused beads - King carries a pouch of small marble sized beads that have been permanently infused with haki. These beads were used by King and his teachers to learn how to imbue items with haki and over the prolonged time of constantly being infused with haki it became permanent. The pouch contains 6 beads.
