History

Perseus was created by a goddess that lived in complete isolation, he was meant to be a companion of sorts. He was the only one made of his kind, a white pheonix, capable of  producing a special sort of white flames. For a while, things were calm and peaceful, then the goddess decided she needed more. Creating a civilization of her own in the process. She used Perseus as an idol, his likeness became a symbol of the goddess herself, and soon the people began to worship the pheonix rather than the goddess herself. Scorned and jealous, the goddess began to cast out those who did not recognise her as their creator. And with those who had been cast out of the peaceful world, went with them the knowledge of this powerful and beautiful bird. 

Those still worshiping the pheonix, knowledge began to spread throughout the realms, and soon brought in travellers and other deities who sought to possess and harness the power and beauty of the pheonix itself. Wars were ragged, and many innocences were slain, all in the name of the white pheonix. The once peaceful and isolated land of the goddess became a blood soaked hellscape, and in a fit of rage the goddess herself turned her anger onto her own creation. Blaming him for all of what came, she stained his once pristine feathers with the blood of all those who were slain.Tainted and shamed, Perseus was cast out of the goddess' world and left to fend for himself. 

Forced into a nomad lifestyle, Perseus soon changed from a lost and helpless entity, to a scornful and vengeful body of destruction. His white flames bathed lands and he took joy in taking beauty away from others, developing a disdain for all life. After centuries of life cycles, he soon grew tired of the chaotic destruction, and then began to savour the feeling of slow burns. Finding himself in a mortal realm he'd never been to before, it did not take him long to find himself aligned to a group called Devil's Army, a crime syndicate that basically fed right into Perseus' new outlook on life. He became known as the Devil's flame, tasked with keeping the queen safe at all costs. 

Personality

Perseus is typically rather calm and collected in nature  despite being rather nonchalant about his disdain for everything living or dead, he doesn't go out of his way to make people's lives hell. He simply just couldn't care any less. He doesn't care who you are, where you're from, who your parents are, what you can do to him, or how you do it. He won't like you, most likely, and he has no plans to prove his power or ability. He has many weaknesses, but hell if you're going to find them, he doesn't tend to stick around many for too long before growing bored and wandering off. He's got an addiction to cigerettes and alcohol, often found with one or both in hand at any given time. He's cold and calculating, and while he is capable of socialising like a typical living being, you'd be hard pressed to actually get information about himself within that conversation. He's not obnoxiously rude, but he doesn't care for religious or spiritual folks, safe to say his beliefs in anything only align with the cynics.
