Personality

As the Goddess of the Earth, it's no surprise that Demeter is a level-headed, dry, dependable, rather stoic individual. She can be incredibly stubborn, especially when she thinks she's right. She's a motherly figure, always more than willing to lend a gentle hand or shoulder to cry on. Demeter puts a lot of faith in physical contact, enjoying a hug or a friendly cuddle whenever needed or wanted. Still, she's a no-nonsense woman, truly the salt of the earth. She will take no shit, and doesn't usually tolerate disrespect or foolishness. Truly, the only time Demeter gets riled up is when her daughter, Persephone, is involved.

III

History

Demeter is the sister of Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Hades, and Hestia. She was born to Cronus and Rhea, children of Uranus and Gaia. With Zeus, she had a daughter, Persephone, who she is utterly devoted to. She's also had children with Poseidon, and four other consorts. She is the reason humanity learned the secrets of agriculture, and the reason Earth has seasons. Recently, she's awoken in the mortal world. Demeter's adjusted a bit better than some of the other gods, she thinks, but things haven't exactly been all peaches and cream. This part's a WIP, though.
