History
Born to a human mother, Maria, she speaks very little of her mother other than stating she was very sickly throughout most of her childhood. At a fairly young age, she also mentioned joining the guardsmen of the place she was born to try and make a living for herself. For years, she was belittled for her petite figure and sent on tedious missions or to scout the town, but eventually, the guardsman realized she had her uses when equipped with more than just a sword. Due to the rough times it reminds her of, she prefers to not talk about her past but is very open and honest with those who approach her with questions about it. After all, if it weren't for her past she wouldn't be the person she was today and that is how she has decided to look at it.
After traveling for a while, she found herself drawn to an old tavern where she ran in to an old acquaintance of sorts from many years ago. Due to their convenient timing, she stayed for a few nights where she was quickly found by a child who lost her parents. Heartbroken for the girl, she extended her stay to try and help the child in any way she could, filling in as the girl's mother until the two became quickly inseparable. Bound to the place, she found herself being admired by those around her for her ability to aid everyone without question, but she found herself drawn more and more to her friend from years ago. He was a shoulder she could lean on when all else seemed to be going wrong, and because of that, the two quickly became nearly inseparable to the point he ended up helping her protect the young girl in her care.
All was well in the world, but incident after incident began occuring which terrified the new adoptive mother, some of the incidents even directly involving her. Fearing for her safety as well as for that of her family, the budding couple took the little girl with them to seek shelter in a new place which they now call home, The Soldier's Respite. While Vek has taken up work as the tavern's personal blacksmith, she herself was quickly asked to aid with healing those who came in injured.
Now, the woman spends most of the time caring for Saya. Just as the little girl is drawn to her, she finds herself attached to the child. The silver-haired girl relies on her to get by, and despite the obvious physical differences between the two, she treats her no differently than her biological mother would have. She has also given birth to a beautiful baby boy, Rusty, whom she and Vek both adore for his friendly demeanor. Needless to say, to this day, there is still no end to the amount of compassion she has.
