History

     His childhood was not all that different from most humans. He had two loving parents who were happily married and caring towards him. Although there were few people his age in the village he grew up, he only matured faster so he could get along with the older kids. Like most young boys, he hardly paid much attention on his education finding it to be just too boring. The difference was, it was a phase he never grew out of. Surviving on the bare minimum, he passed school with most of his skills coming from survival and the typical weapons of his people. The only other thing he took the time to learn was Sylvan, the language of the fey and forest itself. 

     His village itself was small, most elves having only one or two children. Since he was one of the youngest, he never really learned how to act around children. While he won't be rude and doesn't dislike them, he knows he is awkward around kids so he tends to stay away if they can be avoided. It's also known he has spent at least the last few decades wandering the woods, the time alone helping him to refine his senses so they were sharper than his kin. The sharper hearing, eyesight, and sense of smell often gives him an advantage others lack.

     To those patient enough to spend a lot of time with him, they might recall a few other facts on his childhood such as his mother being an assistant at an apothecary or his father working as a dedicated hunter. The memories of his mother are always spoken of lightly, often with the loving term "Oma" from his native tongue used when referring to her. The relationship with his father, however, remains strained. It's thanks to his father he chose to leave home, though not really by his own choice. The other reason for leaving home is an incident he doesn't care for discussing - a hunting trip he went on alone just after his 97th birthday.

     Any details after that moment are like gold, rare and only shared with those he deems worthy of hearing them or believes himself to trust.

Persona

     Although physically large for an elf, Zandyr still maintains most of his elven upbringings. Typically patient and very reserved, he prefers to remain silent as he observes the world around him. While helpful in reading others, it often makes him seem emotionless given even stressful situations invoke little reaction from him. Many find it frustrating for him to remain so level-headed. For those who are patient, he may offer a small smirk or conversation. At least he tries his best to always remain well-mannered.

     His interests are really in the simple things of life. Given his time spent in the woods, he has learned to enjoy nature. Otherwise, he doesn't mind cooking or sitting down with a few tumblers of alcohol to help pass his time. Truly, he is rather peaceful. It's this calm which makes him an expert at surviving on his own. For these reasons, he tends to have a strong distaste for anyone who is exceptionally dramatic or aggressive, and for himself when he loses control over his emotions.

     For The Soldier's Respite: Zandyr prefers the isolation of the kitchen over being a social person. Due to him being hired as extra muscle but mostly the chef, a good portion of his early morning hours up until the dinner rush are spent preparing meals and foods in the kitchen with the help of Karella or alone. However, when asked to attend to the bar, he keeps very quiet, often leaning against the bar with his arms folded and curled up in front of him. He speaks very little, replying when spoken to, but otherwise tries to just do as he's told.

Notes About the Player

1.. I do rely rather readily on PMs as a way to continue my RPs and to discuss my character, so I am very PM friendly.

2. However, do not hit me up with a message of just "hi" or with a post. I like to discuss RPs and to have the chance to decline if I feel as though it's not going to work out.

3. I do not partake in smut only RP.  It is a personal preference, don't take offense to it.

4. Zandyr is my creation, not me. Please note his actions will not reflect my own.

5. No grammar nazis or jerks; come on, we're here to have fun, no point in ruining that.
