Mink is very cold and heartless when you are first introduced to him. He is apathetic towards anyone else's well-being and merciless to those who defy him (nearly beating one of his own members to death when he tried forcing himself onto Aoba without his permission). Because he has had surpressed his emotions for years and prevented himself from getting too close to others, Mink has an odd way of expressing himself. Mink is also shown to be very religious, often seen praying or discussing his people's beliefs. Mink is distant and ruthless to Aoba in the beginning. He beats and forces himself on him numerous times for either defying Mink's orders or trying to escape from him out of pure fear, coming off as possessive and controlling. This all changed when the Desire made himself known to Mink one night and actually invoked terror in Mink.Mink one night and actually invoked terror in Mink.

Getting through the ex-cons walls isn't easy. He is violent, uncaring and  shut down his emotions years ago.  If you manage to you find him affectionate and loyal.

History

Mink grew up in a small village of about fifty people where he lived with his mother, father, and younger sister. They led peaceful lives and connected heavily with nature. The tribe had a lead shaman who was said to predict the future through nature and gave other members wisdom. The shaman was responsible for creating and teaching medicinal herbs, which he did with Mink's parents, who later passed the knowledge down to him.

During their time of peace, through a divine revelation, the shaman chose a girl to be Mink's fiancee, and while Mink said she was a kind person, neither of them were very close and it was something that couldn't be helped through a tribe as small as theirs to continue the bloodline.

Toue learned about one of the tribe's herb recipes which could be used to infuse herbs and control a person's scent. It was actually not a mind-controlling herb that Toue had been searching for, but rather a herb that when combined by scents of a person's body, that person can achieve peace and a calming sensation. However, Toue did not realize this, and when he was refused to be given the recipe, he ordered his men to slaughter Mink's village. Mink was left alive and dragged off to the tower, only to be used for minc-control expierments and possibly as stock to create new Human-like Allmates. Mink managed to esacpe one night and he and a gang of ex-cons run a part of the outer city with extreme force.
