"My mind in chains, my life in a bottle, they've stolen my soul with a needle... they say I'm a monster... that I've done terrible things, but I don't believe them... I am a monster... The truth is trapped in the pieces of my mind, but the holes in my psyche cannot be filled with it... I feel myself screaming, I hear nothing but tears..."

Masaru was a very troubled child, he did terribly in school and really was an extreme loner. Which is why the little group of friends he had made in high school had been something of a miracle... until the day that the five of them had been found in a common 'rave house' that many teenagers partied in, they'd been slaughtered and the only survivor - dubbed the murderer - had been Masaru. He was covered in blood, some of it was his own, rocking back and forth, staring at a wall with words; gibberish according to the crime scene investigators. The meaning of the words is locked in the off-kelter boy who went between screams and violent, physical outbursts, there was no answer to why he murdered his friends nor was there anything to tell them what really happened that day.

As far as anyone knows, Masaru had a wonderful childhood and good parents, gifted with a younger sister... and this is the truth, but there was definitely something wrong with him, all his life. He was always alone, he was socially awkward, blunt, "gullible", and unduly quick to show irrational anger and a lack of emotional control or maturity on par with others of his age. This is still the case for him, only worse, more intense, and even truly violent. He's been in and out of the mental hospitals for years, starting from the age of twelve, for injuring himself and other various reasons. His fragile mental state is further shattered by whatever caused his - or so he says, someone else's - actions in that abandoned house, and his stay in the criminal asylum. His true personality cannot be assessed, most seem to be some form of deceptive false mask, a form of protective shell against reality. His relationship with his family appears to be understandably strained and distant, mainly with his parents, he has a protective streak when it comes to his sister.
