At the turning point of the Sengoku period it was predicted by several individuals that the divide for Japan would be enormous enough to warrant a tide of new combatants from all parts of the globe. Some foreign, some native to the land of the rising sun - Nakamura Kenpachi, being the latter, is destined for greatness upon the battlefield, but from his upbringing to the current day he has not always been an artisan of warfare or the samurai sword. Nearly seven years before the start of the Warring States period, Kenpachi was a lonesome man who fell upon hard times, his curio shop having not turned over enough ryo to supplement an honest living. In stead of thieving or attacking passerby, he went out into the mountains to begin understanding the countryside and the hill tops - to restore his appreciation for simple life.

It was only after reaching those mountains that he came across a man, a battle hardened warrior who had previously settled down into the life of a single parent. He fashioned himself a tailor of clothing and a maker of swords; another means of making income for himself and his only child. Widowed, the elder man bestowed upon Kenpachi the chance to make an honest days pay and meal for an honest days work. In agreement, Kenpachi became a farmer and shortly there after he lived upon the mountain with his simple but obtusely forged family. However, at the striking period of the Sengoku Era, when conflict became high and the contest for the land began, the elder came up missing. Kenpachi's deductions only ran through to the possibility that this man was called to battle, seldom do men ignore the call. As such, he took up a personal oath to protect the young daughter of the elder, only to come to find that she too had gone missing. Now, with both individuals he owed a heavy debt to having completely left without a trace, Kenpachi has entered himself into the Warring States Period, the struggle for power over Japan, to keep a promise that only he may truly remember.

A swift retreat into the draw stance allows Kenpachi to whip his Odachi at high speeds to disarm or cleave people before the blink of an eye, the clap of thunder over head. Only individuals with perception equal to or greater than Kenpachi can anticipate the blow or counter it upon release.

Fireworks draw in victory from a passive night sky; lets celebrate!.

By infusing the sky with conflicting charges of static electricity and heat from the lightning element, Kenpachi can cause eruptions of lightning that explode like fireworks over the battlefield. They radiate different colors and come in varying sizes, but are usually used to disorient or halt movement from a faction or individual. Only those with an elemental check matching Kenpachi's can avoid or plow through the festivities. Subsequently, those with the affinity to beat lightning can pass through but are momentarily dazed if their element check is lower than Kenpachi's.

The eye of the samurai must be quicker than hands!

Kenpachi infuses himself with lightning to begin accelerated movement. This pulse is a thundering clap that sounds like several chirping birds over a daylit sky. Even if the defender can hear Kenpachi, they must be quick enough to thwart his incoming storm. This skill can be matched or deflected by an agility check with equal or higher scaling than Kenpachi's own agility.

The great thunder god draws in all combatants under war!.

Whipping his blade back there is a single moment in which the clouds part and allow this warrior of the storm to cleave land and sky with a sharpened arc of furious thunder. The wave travels a great distance, capable of blowing through mountain and sturdy forms like a hot knife through paper. However, the might of the cleave requires full concentration, dedication to the swing, and it cannot be redirected if Kenpachi is uncertain of the success in the attack itself.
