The Eye, a world renowned hacker and information broker, resided on Gaemegalo, though there were only rumors of her whereabouts. Some say she lives the high life among the stars, living in luxury in the tallest building. Others however, say she resides in the lowest depths, away from even the poorest of individuals, in complete solitude.

Maelana knew exactly where The Eye was hiding. After all, she was The Eye.

The greedy megacorporations, gritty megacities, rebellious hackers, gruff thugs, and futuristic technological advancements all come together to make GaeMegalo, an alien planet discovered as kepler 62e, a hyper sized version of the familiar planet humans called Earth. An up and coming competitor in the tech scene thats been flooding the hyper space, Gaem, is one giant tech city, buildings scattering for miles on end, encircled by a ferocious ocean that covers a majority of the planet's surface.. Despite the ground breaking technological hub that Gaem is becoming, holding such a growing population in a seemingly small amount of space allows for cracks, for poverty to sink through, and new problems to arise.

A technological class system developed, based not only on money, but how good of tech you had. The richer someone was, the better tech they had, and better tech they had, the higher they lived. Literally. The tops of buildings seemed to create a new infrastructure of sidewalks and subways, far more articulate and even cleaner, than the levels below. Now far more poverty stricken, the lowest levels were crippled to homelessness, crime, and disease.

Among the grime and filth of the depths of Gaem, arose a new disease, coined “Blue eyes” for the effect it left on the victims Iris, changing it to an almost iridescent blue color. Theories suggest it was first contracted through contaminated drugs dropped into the eye, or a botched eye surgery. But one thing for certain, was that it spread like wildfire. Spread by blood, bite, or sex, It was easy to contract and the people attempted to infect themselves, to be apart of the new fad that allowed themselves “beautiful eyes”. However, the fatality rate grew, and soon there were more cases of deceased “blue eye” carriers, than those who were alive, leading to the death of the fad. Those who were left alive, were subject to permanent symptoms, including heightened vision, sensitivity to light, and prejudice, though that was induced due to the means in which the disease was brought about, usually inflicted upon by the rich and uninfected.
