Smash Brothers


Holy Sword Beatrix is a sturdy ground fighter with a potent mix of speedy swordplay, magic and ranged techniques based around her Save the Queen. Both her Smashes and Specials have several varitions based on whether they are 'charged' or released quickly. Her play revolves around skillful balancing of quick low recovery slashes with debuffs and powerful specials with additional effects or alternate forms.



Save the Queen Save the Queen is a Holy weapon of such power it's own metal is hardly able to contain it's presense. Semi sentient, the weapon bestows a few passive effects on Beatrix at all times. Every third hit Beatrix lands returns 1/3rd of the total damage dealt of those three hits to Beatrix as health. Every hit Beatrix lands grants her slightly more speed and strength until she herself is hit. While this has no cap, it is all lost upon her taking even the slightest damage. Lastly, whenever Beatrix counters a blow Save the Queen is empowered. The blade glowing with a holy light and gaining both reach and area of effect on her next attack. When in the presense of Garnet, the last effect is active at all times and she only loses half of her buff stacks upon taking damage.



Power Break Weak damage for a smash, when released quickly it will debuff the target causing their smash attacks to do less damage for a duration. Repeated hits will not weaken further but will refresh the debuff. Charging the attack instead applies the debuff twice, applies full smash damage and has an extended reach that will travel a short distance away from her initial swing.

Armor Break Weak damage for a smash, when released quickly it will debuff the target causing them to take more damage from all sources beside 'break' attacks for a duration. Darkside A varied move that changes depending on whether she has taken damage or not. If she has not taken damage, she takes a flat amount of damage as she unleashes the strike. If the strike lands, it does smash damage plus the flat amount she delt to herself. If she is already damaged when using this smash, it instead deals the damage she has taken. Making it very deadly when she is battered, but only slightly effective if used when healthy. Charging the smash deals double the accumulated damage on top of full smash damage.

Thunder SlashActing as her special recovery technique, she can move in a flash of holy lightning up to three times in any direction she pleases. During these movements, she can phase through targets dealing minor electrical and holy damage. However if her third strike meets a target, it will deal more damage and briefly stun with no knockback. If she manages to hit a target with all three strikes, the third will deal massive damage and knockback but no stun.

Stockbreak Stockbreak is released as as a swirling azure whirlwind that pulls targets in and deals dozens of small hits that end in a blast of moderate damage and high knockback. The more targets drawn into the Stockbreak, the more damage the final blast will do.

Shock Shock releases as a single directional extremely quick and high damage holy shockwave, landing it has no special properties beside high damage and high knockback but it has a wide area of effect and will traverse the span of an arena. However it always requires a short pause before release, making it ill suited for close melee.

ClimhazzardIf on the ground, Thunder Slash can be charged. If Charged, it becomes Climhazzard. Climhazzard releases in a large radius area around Beatrix as dozens of crimson cutting shockwaves that prevent knockback and apply hitstun to anything in the area until the end of the effect. At the end of the effect, the amount of hits taken determines just how hard the resulting knockback blast is, with a full hit taken having the potential to outright knock an opponant out of bounds.

Crosscounter Combining Counter and Return Magic into a single technique, proper timing will prevent both smash and special damage and allow for a savage counter strike. It will also return projectiles of all kinds in the opposite direction at twice the speed and force of the initial delivery.

Holy If her Stockbreak is charged instead of released, it will instead become Holy. Unleashing a targeted orb of light that upon impact or reaching a set distance, erupts into a large sphere of holy light that deals damage rapidly to any targets in it's radius while keeping them within it for the duration of the damage. Its damage potential is very high however it is slow moving and easily avoided if one knows both aspects of it. It Beatrix herself is within the radius, it will purge debuffs and harmful effects from her.

HasteIf her Shock is charged instead of released quickly, it will instead perform the Haste spell. This will buff her for a long duration, with increased movement speed, attack speed and reaction time, while making her immune to slowing effects or dispelling any on her before the cast.



Passives



Auto WallWhen damaged moderately (20% and up), her resistance to smashes and specials goes up until she is knocked out.



Auto RegenWhen damaged notably, (40% and up) the spell auto regen is triggered causing her to gradually mend a little at a time. The spell fades if damage mended ever dips below 50%, but will retrigger upon breaking that threshhold again.



Auto HasteWhen brought to severe damage levels (80% and up), the spell auto haste is triggered and remains until she is knocked out. If she is already hasted from her actual spell use, the two effects stack and become hastaga. However this only remains for as long as the casted regular spell is in effect, lowering to normal haste afterwards.



True Grandeur: If she purposely removes her eyepatch (Final smash/Boss Fight), it is attacked and damaged to the point of falling off or Princess Garnet is in mortal danger.(You got whats coming to you) she undergoes a drastic empowerment.The revealing of her scarred eye will cause a constant holy light to spill from the socket, giving her stagger immunity from anything beside smash attacks and charged specials. The effects of Wall, Auto Regen and Auto Hastaga are all applied immediately and Save the Queen is enveloped in a blinding holy light that extends it's reach twofold and it's size similarly. Being struck by this Save the Queen restores damage dealt back to Beatrix in the form of life steal.

Beatrix of Alexandria~ Beatrix is an icon of her nation, her name is known within every street corner of every nation in the world. While she is widely feared in other nations, within her own she is a beloved saint. The people adore her, small children seek her company and occasional gifts. It is in her beloved land that she was given the names Rose of May, and the Rose General; names that hold much more value to her than those earned out of fear.

General of Alexandria~ General Beatrix is the highest ranked knight in Alexandria, she alone holds control of the entire Alexandrian military; land sea and air. Only the Queen has the authority to challenge her within the land of Alexandria, this essentially makes her the second most powerful figure by a political standpoint. Even at a much younger age she held true to the task of running an entire kingdom's military, it shows as she is older and wiser now yet none have ever questioned her. Her personal handpicked soldiers are called the Violet Curtain, they wear full body suits of dark violet cloth armor differing them from the rank and file who wear green leotards and upper torso plates.

Greatest Warrior in the World~ Beatrix rose from a very young age into the spotlight as a prodigy of swordplay and combat prowess, it wasnt long before these carefully honed skills were put to the test against a hoard of traitorous knights. An ambush left her alone to face one hundred led by the former General, and yet she felled them all without a bead of sweat to touch her brow. It was this feat that simultaneously lifted her to the rank of General, while taking her name to the winds as Beatrix the Hundred Killer. This was many years ago however, and she has since proven her blade can only grow sharper with time. Her training her travels everything is a learning experience for her, she was already the best in the world at twenty eight; who can say how much better she will be in ten years.

Seiken~ Not content simply to be a mighty knight, Beatrix sought more; she sought knowledge not simply power. Her readings eventually allowed her to communicate with Alexander, the most powerful eidolon known to her nation; and the very castle they dwelled in. He spoke within her, whispers of the holy arts. His blessing upon her to learn them, is what unlocked the path of Saiken for her. However it was not until she obtained Save the Queen by defeating Hades, that she could truly realize the hidden potential within her.

Equipment and Support Abilities

Save the Queen A peerless weapon uncraftable by even the most ingenious of mortal hands, only the flawless touch of the Eidolon Hades could create such a weapon. The catch being only one who can defeat him, a being with power enough to bring down the heavens can earn the right to seek his crafts. Beatrix upon defeating him, sought a weapon that could withstand her might without breaking; something she had trouble with for most of her life. For this, she was presented Save the Queen. A weapon that grew in power as she did, a reflection a catalyst of her brimming might. Utterly indestructable and impossible for anyone else to wield, the effect that prevents others from wielding or handling the weapon exceeds that of Hades world ending Meteor. it is a Blessed Weapon with a presence of such potency that it affects the area around it to the point of snuffing even the highest heat. Simply unsheathing it reduces the potency of heat by half. The divine power contained within the blade has only grown as she has and the effect that allows the weapon to improve and grow in power as she has brings it far and above it's original make.

Cross Helm A forged band that acts as both head protection and a patch across her eye, it radiates a field of protection over her head as strong as any trueforged helm of plate. It's enchantments empower her physically and also allow her to apply her mana into her strikes more effectively

Blessed Brigandine A grand suit of alchemically treated and magically woven cloth and leather, durable as the hardest enchanted plate adorns her form. It's many enchantments empower her physically and allow her to cast back any spell that manages to hit her at no cost, whether it does damage to her or not.

Defense Gloves Treated and balanced plates adorn both of her hands in asymetrical style, they are enchanted to enhance her defense and magical defense, bolster her vitality by a significant margin while also reducing by half the effectiveness of heat, cold and electricity.

Protect Ring A blessed ring enchanted with an assortment of powerful effects, it halves the effect of elemental magic in general against her while directly halving the effectiveness of heat, cold and electricity. The ring also cuts the amount of mp needed for her abilities and magic by half, allows her to focus her physical attacks to strike at a distance and allows her to turn any spell she casts into non elemental to circumvent resistances.

 

~Support Abilities~

 

Return Magic~ One of her core disciplines is the study of countless magics, in order to better aid and defend those that are under her watchful eye. Thanks to her deep understanding and substantial magical prowess, she can without fail cast back any magic delt against her regardless its school or might.

 

Half MP~ Thanks to the enchantment of the Protect ring, her modest mana pool is not strained nearly as much when she performs a magic spell. Cutting her mana use by half, even for her most potent arts. It allows her to perform magic with considerable freedom, compared to had she not had the ring.

 

Long Reach~ Years and years of training the body and blade have forged her into a physical masterpiece of combat prowess, her skill with the blade has reached the plateau where she can extend the range of any attack she deals. Even simple slashes can be extended into cutting edges that rush across the battlefield, able to strike distant and even aerial opponent. (Enhanced by Protect Ring, strikes do not lose power even at maximum range, and maximum range is doubled.)

 

Mp Attack~ Thanks to her headwear, as well as Save the Queen. Beatrix is able to channel her magical power into her basic physical attacks, enhancing them to strike with twice the force and penetration as a strike used without said infusion. Each infusion needs only a small amount of mana, as Save the Queen magnifies the amount into something substantial.

Veteran General~ Her basic attacks have a slight chance to trigger the effect and damage of Saint Cross passively. Due to her own power flooding through Save the Queen, every attack has the potential to explode into a Saint Cross and effect just as large of an area.

Paladin's Purpose~ Her Seiken abilities have a moderate chance to trigger a second time for free, every use of Seiken has roughly half the chance to trigger a second time at no cost. The free Seiken is no different from the initial use, including any buffs in play.

Auto Wall~ Beatrix is perpetually guarded by a field of Protega and Shellga, outright negating all forms of lesser physical and magical damage while mitigating half of any physical or magical damage that does manage to superceed this potent protection.

Auto Haste~ Beatrix is perpetually empowered by the haste spell, allowing her already agile and swift form to act and react with speed bolstered by time dialation.

Auto Regen~ Beatrix is perpetually refreshed by the regen spell, this ensures that she is always mending damage dealt at a persistant rate; making minor injuries something to be ignored and allowing her to focus on dealing with noteworthy attacks..

"Seiken"

 

 

Rose of May~ A Graceful blade dance which houses a great protective force, aimed at a single target this dance is also a blessed ritual that channels a powerful protective field around her allies and herself. This protective field stacks with traditional defensive spells like Protect and Shell, defending against physical and magical attacks ahead of the defensive spells reducing the damage they have to mitigate.

 

Sword of the Clear Mind~ A Sacred Holy Bladestorm, the keen focus and maximized speed directed at a single target in a blitz of blessed strikes. These attacks while quick, are exceptionally precise and ignore both natural and magical defenses; even holy resistance.Sword of the Clear Mind also overcharges Beatrix with Holy Light, leading her attacks for a time to deal bonus Holy damage.

 

Saint Cross~ A simultanious twin slash that leaves a resonating Cross of Holy light, which covers an area in blinding damaging light. Saint Cross has a lot of forward coverage and moves quickly, it also does bonus damage to undead and darkness based threats while having a chance to Blind any target hit.

 

Thunder Slash~ Channels Blessed Lightning into a strike of such swiftness it defies sight, by far her fastest attack it is propelled by several streaks of lightning to smite her target with the true speed of the heavenly element. It is also known to be a very hard technique to control, for those few practitioners even able to attempt the technique the sheer speed behind the attack forces a sharp reduction in accuracy; due to an inability to control movement once the attack is initiated. However she has mastered the art, making it exceedingly accurate on top of being so quick.

 

Stock Break~ Unleashes a powerful azure whirlwind of lethal cutting force, its bright glow and wide radius of rotation making it a very hard attack to evade. As its namesake implies, the technique was made to break the stock of her opponent. Usually in the form of defeating scores of soldiers in a single strike, quickly reducing the threat level of an opposing force; though it is no less lethal against a single opponent. Unlike Thunder Slash which can only hit a single opponent, Stock Break is a group killer and holds twofold the power of Thunder Slash.

 

Climhazzard~ Unleashes a multitude of large violent crimson shockwaves, expanding outwards from the point of impact like a flaring sun. Each individual wave is deadly enough on its own, yet a vast amount radiate outward wrecking havok and nigh assured destruction to anything in its radius. Its range is much wider than Stock Break, and its damage output is easily threefold that of the aformentioned technique making it her best group killing technique.

 

Shock~ Her most powerful single target attack, focused on a single unimaginable strike. This attack is threefold stronger than Climhazzard, but is highly focused to strike a single area. Shock is not a slash from her sword, but rather all of her will and spirit focused at a single point. A flash of light is all the warning one gets before it is too late, there is no path to track and evade; no telltale sign. The attack is channeled through her sword, magnified within it and manifested in a single abrupt flash that annihilates without mercy.

Saint Bringer~ The Ultimate Seiken, a swing of her blade causes a cascade of blessed light to converge on a target from all directions. While the cascades themselves do immense damage, the true attack comes when the cascades meet; triggering a massive cross shaped explosion that leaves utter ruin in its wake. However the attack is also usable on on a single target, with that level of destructive power focused as such. If this was not enough, the holy power is so overwhelming that it burns away any manner of holy resistance the target might have, leaving them weakened to any follow up Holy damage.
