The eldest of the Pevensie siblings Peter Pevensie
is not only the eldest brother but a father figure. He often tries to reign in his younger brother's wild behavior and tries to teach him to behave properly and has little difficulty with his sisters. While Susan is the skeptical one of the group, she is the one that begins to loose faith in the tales of Narnia rather than Peter. Lucy is usually the one that keeps the family together and with her open heart tries to cater to everyone's needs. Peter tries to protect her the most because she is not only the youngest but also the most naive and willing to believe anyone can change.

Peter had always thought that death was simple. You died, you were buried, and you were sent to a Heaven that you could not conceive of nor could you image. All you had were the legends in books and the speeches your local pastor would preach. When his entire family had been sentenced to death in a distrastrous and heart-wrenching accident, he thought that he would be following a light to the end of the tunnel. How he ended up in Narnia, face to face with the Lion Aslan again he still has trouble comprehending. But as the Sons of Adam and the daughters of Eve, the Pevensie's held a special place in Narnia's heart even when life ended. The regal animal had assisted the sibling on so many occassion that when the Lion stated he required their assistance in a town where Magic was finally available rejecting his request was unfathomable.

So Peter has sat in the dark, in the quiet working as an English teacher awaiting for the time he and
his brother and sisters will be needed.

As it turns out, that time is now.
