Magic
Loki is a master of many magics, but Time and Prime are his specialties only to be closely followed by Life, Matter, Correspondance, and Mind. He can slow time, gaze upon the very fabric of the world and manipulate its threads, manipulate the body to hurt or heal, the things around him into useful objects, and toy with your mind like a child with a puppet. There is very little he can think of that he can't do, and when he finds such a challenge it only encourages him to work harder.
Loki's immortality isn't of the sort where he can't be killed, but more that he is completely unaging. For a time, in his youth, his mentors and he toyed with various rotes that had to be performed regularly to keep their youth and beauty. However, when his mentors had decided they'd enough of this world and let themselves seek the peace of death to find the next life's adventure, he sought out a new form that was more permanent, and less potentially destructive on his body. His secret to immortality was quite the quest and wasn't something that came easily, but the stubborn mage managed it nonetheless. He keeps this secret closely guarded save for a very few that he truly, and intimately, trusts.
Loki has created a great number of items, artifacts, and random wonders in his life but his greatest creation is the fetish and kink club; Illicit Institution. It is safely tucked away within a horizon realm that serves as his sanctum and using his mastery of Correspondance in connection with the other spheres, he's been able to anchor its doorway to other realms and realities that exist across the Umbra and beyond-in the places even the Void Engineers may not have yet discovered. It is his sanctuary, his home, his library, and his playground.

Loki was a simple peasant who caught the eyes of a couple as they were traveling through the country-side. As he spent the night with them, entwined in their lustful embraces, he found much more than a wild romp, but an awakening to the world around him... a prelude to magic and becoming a creature that could wield it, manipuluate it, and bend it to his will. He left with them that next day, having been taken under their wing and shown the wonders of the world; not just in magic but travel, drugs, food, drink, music and orgies. He found pleasure in nearly everything under their guidance and he took their teachings to heart, following in their examples for decades-even after he was too well versed to be called an apprentice anymore. They found a way to lengthen their lives, preserve their youth, and grant themselves that one precious things most beings never have in order to experience the world as fully as it was meant: time.
But, as they often must, all good things come to an end and his mentors had decided they wished to move on to their next life, next adventure-for death and what waited beyond it surely had to hold something. Left on his own, he used the contacts and allies he'd made to start searching for his own means to immortality-a permanent one that didn't not require constant imbibing of elixirs, or magical rotes that sucked his energy for days.
His journey took him across the Umbra and beyond until he found an individual that could lead him to his goal. Of course, it wasn't nearly so simple as that given that chaos and violence often ensues when two strong-willed individuals meet and their egos clash. Orphe, the demi-god child of the Goddess Nyx, was to become his most annoying rival and foe in his search, a constant pain in his ass that led to a bloody battle turned sex marathon, and when the pair emerged they were something else. Not lovers, not exactly... companions, certainly. To this day they've not been able to pinpoint an appropriate word for their relationship for it's more than just the sex, and yet not enough to keep them promised to one another... surely neither could ever be capable of that. Orphe led him to his immortality and now he no longer needs spend his magic preserving his youth.
So entwined are their fates, that when the universe decided to start taking notice of Loki's immortality, they concocted a plan and pooled their powers and resources to build the Illicit Institution. It would be a safe haven, a sanctum, a playground, and just all around fun. That is where he resides today; studying and continuing his life-long adventure into the mysteries of magic.
