Some say it was Alexandra's genes that made her such an appealing candidate for the Parthenon Experiments. Others claim given her tenacious nature, she would have found a way into the program genetics or not.  Or maybe, it was just her way of trying to find a family life that never truly existed.

 

After the early death of her mother, KIA in Desert Storm, her father seemed to regress from family life, delving into his work as a government scientist. So it was she spent much of her early years in outside care.  It seemed the only connection Jacob Esseks could find with his offspring was purely scientific; as she grew and began to develop the mental capacity to absorb conversations about his work, investing attention to learn what it was he poured his time into seemed to be the only way to stay connected. As Jacob realized his daughter had capabilities to bring his ideas to life, his consideration grew. Alexandra was only too trusting, and unknown to many, had already had nanite exposure long before the concept was approved for human trials. Did the man just not care what the risks were? Or was he that fervent that the concept was flawless?

 

When she was of appropriate age, enlisting seemed to just be a formality for her, as it seemed she was already well prepared for the path laid out for her.  In her quest to find some sort of connection to either parent, she studied their interests, adapting them as her own. She seemed older than her years, well versed in the science behind the nanites the program was pushing to infuse with human test subjects. To no one's surprise given her parental connections, she came in the door already as physically prepared and beyond educated enough to fit the parameters required of test subjects. Through pure, blind luck, it seemed she was going to come into the "family enterprise".

 

Moving forward it was quickly determined with her background and mentality that she was primed for leadership position, and in combat she proved herself worthy of classification Centurion. Her advanced abilities as a human explosive device only made her more appealing to send out to the front lines. Entirely competent  leading small groups, as well as completely functional solo, she continued on the course she had always meant to follow, never giving much thought to the fact that personal relationships always seemed to elude her. She had the job down and enough determination that it didn't seem she needed much beyond that in her life.

 

And then her whole world fell to pieces. Suddenly faced with the reality that following orders blindly was no longer a path she could continue on, she found new responsibility. Quickly asserting herself as leader over others in the program now fleeing for their lives, she discarded her last name in order to seek some sort of safety from pursuit. Maybe there was more reason for it than that, but that was all the reason she cared to give. Now finding herself faced with the task of settling into "normal" surroundings, she finds herself facing some rather broad questions about the nature of her own existence.

 

 

 

 

Personal Strengths:

 

Because she was linked with Centurion at an earlier age, and with her family ties, Alex has a much greater understanding of the internal function and motives of the Pantheon Experiments than most of her peers. Due to freedoms she was given while in the program, she is aware of names and appearances of many in the program. She is highly educated for her age and oftentimes acts beyond her years as she spent the majority of her younger years solely amongst adults.

 

Fiercely committed to her responsibilities as leader and decision-maker for the well being of the group, there is absolutely nothing she would not do to protect and provide for those under her wing.

 

 

Personal Weaknesses:

 

Alex still sometimes has a hard time relating with her peers as a result of her upbringing, at times appearing very cold and unresponsive to emotions. She is still ill at ease when faced with affection, especially on a physical level. This discomfort is exponentially greater with strangers, and/or normal people. She has a hard time admitting or accepting the failures and weaknesses of others, and is twice as unforgiving of her own shortcomings. As a result, she can be stubborn and highly sarcastic when questioned.
