A Slave Reborn
Born in the slave pits of Thakala, life was a dreadful and dangerous place for Melicia. With hatred and an undeniable cunning, she worked her way through the ranks of the slaves set to build the glorious vessels of the Empire. In the end, she found her freedom in the form of an academy outreach program for potential pilots. She had her own vessel, albeit an insignificant one.

She became what she was not because of what was handed to her, rather, what she took for herself. She began to find her thoughts traveling to the empire that once enslaved her. Now, she fought for them, at their side. The Reclaiming made sense to her, so when the charismatic leader Reisha Nafina found her, she joined her cause.

The system Thakala was always a somewhat dangerous one. Pirates had set up there, manning fleets of battleships to guard the ancient star gates. Those pirates would be enveloped by the capital ship fleets that would casually use Thakala as a jump point, a bridge for the powerful jump drives to carry fleets from one side of the cluster to the other, directly over the empire itself. It was here that Melicia was born, daughter of the Sabaoth Corporation, loyal at least in name to the Empire.

They made her a slave to their lust, a slave to Vitoc, that hateful drug that made her a willing supplicant of their dark ideals. She was lost in that flawless flesh, her true power ignored. Her every though was cast not in hatred toward Sabaoth, she could see the need to subdue her kinsman, they were worthy of even less than the luxuries they received. But why should she be any different?

The longstanding CEO of the Sabaoth Corporation, Sheddis, saw that burn in Melicia’s eyes, behind that haze of Vitoc, Melicia was ready for combat. Assigned a position in the Royal Academy, to determine her adaptability to life as a capsuleer, Sheddis pushed her to become a pilot. Where she was raised in the Amarr Loyalist Slave Pits of Thakala under the yoke of Sabaoth and the Endless Corporation.

She could have been an assassin, that seductive demon they bred in Melicia, but instead she was to become a captain for the Empire. She was trained by the Ammatar how to accomplish this new and daunting task, freedom in a way was given to her by her abilities. She was meant to serve with that unstoppable body, but her mind proved more severe.

She remained under the charge of the Sabaoth Corporation until the day Dark Seraph Reclaimed them. She sat in her battlecruiser, already having befriended one of their industrial pilots to help serve the empire. With him, they watched Thakala burn. Melicia was losing her home, and Skor Kratas was gaining something different. He was the first Amarr who ever saw her as more than a slave. He would be her first love and her only lover who was a man. The day that ended would be the last day she would ever touch a man.

It wasn’t long before she met the dangerous woman called Verjigorm. She would know her as First Governor. The Reclaiming began with this woman burning down Sabaoth like a wayward child, no long in tune with the Empire they professed to love. She was given a choice, as all of the slaves of her ship were burned alive: She would become an Ebon Seraph or she would be put to the same fires that cleansed her kin.
The Sharper Rose
She fed into Reisha’s addictions, gaining her fair share herself. The Frentix ran free as she fought shoulder to shoulder with the woman she would fall in love with. Nowhere in the universe would their be another woman so capable and confident to keep Melicia. There was also no one but Melicia able to honey the ears of all that would oppose the Order of the Black Cross.

Perhaps Melicia sought the depravity of Reisha’s world or perhaps she helped pull Reisha further into that darkness, though their love and their marriage would be eternal.

Melicia was installed as a full member of Ebon Seraph, an organization born of Dark Seraph to function as their warrior caste, a group designed to murder in their name. It was also known as the Second Order of the Black Cross. Melicia fought long and hard in the name of Ebon Seraph until she attained the rank of Morchuna, leader of the Order.

During her assent, the wars, the loss of friends and the death of millions, there was always Reisha. She was steadfast, terrifying, and none would approach her. Melicia watched from afar, speaking to her only in an official capacity until she saw Reisha’s suitor begin to look back at her. Melicia had no interest in the Caldari man, finding him distasteful and brutish, but she knew that she could never steal Reisha’s heart so long as she was with him.

She would later learn Reisha shared that distaste when she convinced the Caldari to join her on her ship, to attempt to lay with her. While she did refuse him, she was certain the position was correct when Reisha called, when she sent her retainers to find him nude with Melicia.

So it was that Reisha and Melicia bonded while stalking the Caldari across the stars, themselves in an exodus from the war torn Bleak Lands. They were running from disgrace, capital ships burning in the endless night as the time came to refocus the Order. Reisha took Melicia into her ship and her bed, the two of them becoming inseparable. Even as Melicia sat in Ebon Seraph, she became the most trusted of Reisha’s cause.

This was the age of their love, married all but secretly due to the muddied nature of Melicia’s blood, the two women stood hand in hand as the Verisum Family was dismantled. They fought together as Melicia finally earned her most valued of possessions, the wings of the Consortis, the true power of Dark Seraph. Melicia was the first Minmatar accepted into the ranks of the Order, which remains a highly contentious move on behalf of the Cross.

If anyone ever declares that Melicia is anything less than Amarr, Reisha will soundly cut them down. Though, it would be surprising if she had the opportunity, with Melicia so willing to do so herself.
Denying the Obvious [OOC]
Usually, reading a profile is key. Hopefully that is how you got to this part. There are the normal things: Don't start with a post, don't be a dick, and so on. Probably PM friendly to an extent, pay attention to statuses. Character is a bitch, you have been warned.

“In a place where your calm, winter night meets the stars, my world begins. Black and infinite, where the sky gives way to that sea of stars, my empire awaits.”
- Excerpted from the Book of Thral

Like any story so wrapped in growth and pain, theirs cannot be told is so few words. The brush with the Guiding Hand, the infiltration of the Star Fraction, even the arrival of the mysterious young woman known only as Selachi, all of it forges a far more complex story than these scant words allow. Suffice it to say, the epic tale of Melicia Nafina stretches on.

Melicia wraps the burning seduction of a fallen angel, begging to be pinned and fucked though only a very small few will ever have that honor of which you are not one. She is addicted only to the things that would kill her, Frentix flowing through her veins so freely and eagerly.

Melicia is an untouchable paradox.
