Hinata is the only child of two very business oriented people, his mother is an executive for a global investment and banking corporation and his father is the CEO of a very wealthy shipping company. This meant Hinata has spent more of his life alone than with either of his parents, making him a rather isolated child until school came along. There he met two of his lifelong, best friends, the others came about in various other manners, like his collecting of strays. He was always cheerful and compassionate, protective of the quieter pair during primary and middle school, for they were the only connections to family he really had besides his Uncle Yuusuke.
Attending only private schools, his parents expect nothing shy of perfection from him even if they really had no hand in raising him, leaving that to nannies and his uncle most of the time, he really wasn't a stupid child, just one that liked to act out for attention he never got. Leaving him to all but give up on the notion that they really cared, he was pretty sure that was all about appearances. Theirs, not his. Which is why he often gets into trouble, not that they see it, Yuusuke takes care of that most of the time.
Hinata is loud, bolsterious, uninhibited, and certainly hedonistic in all pursuits, from kendo club and kyudo club to that of the little school gang of which he is second in command to Kurai (Natsumi). He loves to feed stray dogs and get into fights for seemingly no reason. Untamed and with every appearance of being unrefined, this is completely a deception however, as he is both capable and knowledgeable in etiquette and properness. He is a clear balance to the brooding front that is his best friend, but one could say his lows are far worse than that of Natsumi's, but his fiery temper cools in the wake of Natsumi's icy one.
