Alexander Woden

A quiet young man, Alexander Woden, called "Woden" by everyone else, was born into high society, having lived within the confines of Wall Sina most of his life. His father was a military commander, and his mother was a doctor. Unfortunately, during the attack on Wall Maria, his father was killed in action near the frontlines, and his mother was trampled by the armored titan that penetrated the wall while she was tending to some wounded soldiers.

 

Without any other family and no friends in high society, primarily due to his parents' care for the common folk, his status and wealth was discarded and he was forced to either take up conscription with the military or die on the streets. He decided on the former, although this meant that he gained an attitude of being careless with his own life, seeking danger that would nearly kill him, but always holding back at the last second in order to not shame his parents' legacy.

 

His marks were high in training, having been close to making it to the top ten in the class before being beaten out by others, primarily due to his self-destructive attitude and his inability to properly communicate with others. His fearlessness is put to the task constantly by those who rely on him to do things that others would be too scared to do, such as coming face-to-face with the titans or being sent on suicide missions.

 

Although no one thinks Woden will last long on this planet due to his very nature, he will at least spend the rest of it being of use to others.
