long live the sons of tirithion
name: Althanomir aliases:  Althan, the Stormbringer gender: Male
age: 34 occupation:  Captain  race: Man/Human
home: formerly Tirithion, now Arvandor marital status: Uninterested

Tirithion, once a land that flourished, soil plentiful and its people well-fed, was one of the many state-ships of Brom that was ravaged by war, leaving it barren and uninhabitable. This was the fate of many lands of Brom, which has left most of its citizens to die in the wastelands. Those who survived, however, formed a new land within the center of Brom, a beautiful oasis surrounded by much of what is now desert, large enough to hold hundreds of thousands of people, which has been rightfully named Arvandor by the elven kingdoms surrounding them. The men of Brom and the elves around it have always been loyal to one another, never hesitating to add ranks of their own to their neighbor's armies. It is also the elves that help to supply the armor and weapons to the soldiers of Brom.

Althanomir, son of Hadrian and Sellwyn, was born in Tirithion long before the battles ripped the land apart. War had already begun between those of Brom and the outer-lying enemy lands, with the armies of men having already taken down the enemy itself. What they did not anticipate, however, was the dark forces that their enemies called friends, at the center of them being those dragon-born and the creatures that they worshipped. Once their guard was down, it was them that attacked, leaving the land of Brom defenseless. It was them that took Althanomir's parents from him when he was a boy of only fourteen, and even at this age he was ready to charge into battle. His desire for battle only grew after the death of his parents.

Though the war was inevitably won by the fierce armies of Brom, as the enemy retreated, the losses were staggering. More than half the of its population had been wiped out, leaving the remaining in the new city. Many years passed, and the citizens worked hard to establish a name for themselves and for Brom all over again. Their efforts were well rewarded, however, as they grew hardened by their new environment, and their armies strong once again, despite it now being so small. The wastelands and deserts provided a natural defense from intruding enemies, as large groups were unable to weather it, most of their members easily succumbed to its dangers.

Althanomir grew to be a strong man, much like his father the older citizens of Arvandor would comment. In no time, he managed to climb the ranks of the armies by showing his prowess on the battlefields. Though there was no longer a war raging on the lands of Brom, the rest of the empire still had plenty of skirmishes to deal with, and Arvandor knew that they would have to put their services as a mighty army out there if they were to gain allies, so it is not unusual for the Arvandor Brigade to be called upon, and Althanomir would always lead his men to victory.

Althanomir, or Althan, as some of the citizens so lovingly call him, is a man of justice. He has a strong sense of right, and will always choose it over wrong, no matter the personal consequences. He's learned that you must do what is good for the people, rather than what is good for oneself, and this has caused plenty of heartbreak for the women of Arvandor. He's very skilled with with both the sword and bow, and strong enough to wield the mightiest claymore forged in the sacred fires of his elvish brethren. This skill is never put to waste, as he is capable of not only bringing down armies of just men or orcs, but also creatures, especially dragons, which has given him the name The Stormbringer, as he's able to  rain down on the enemy and completely devastate them.  He has a very confident nature, and is a natural leader, his armies quick to follow his command, which always ends in victory for their land, or the lands of those they've helped.
