History

Victoria Vale grew up in Gotham.  Her parents were typical middle class suburbanites.  Her father Louis Sr., owns a restaurant called The Doria.  Her mother is a housewife who likes to organize fundraisers for local charities.  Older brother Julian is a defense attorney with Clarke, Morgan, and Stowe.  Her youmger brother works as chef at The Doria.  Her family is loving and close knit.  Vicki attended High School in Gotham where she met Edward Nygma.  The two were friends and kept in touch for a while after graduation.  It was in college that Vicki met Bruce Wayne and Barbara Gordon. The trio were close friends and were often seen together around campus.

After college, Vicki remained in touch with Barbara, but lost touch with Bruce.  She won a place at National Geographic and soon became known for her ambition and her tenacity. She was able to continue her MMA training and suppliment her skills through people she met in her travels.  National Geographic sent her all over the world.  Her last assignment with them took her to the small African nation of Burundi.  She was supposed to be covering the aftermath of the civil war there.  There was still fighting and she elected to remain in Burundi to cover it.  She and her crew got pictures of the Burundi National Guards slaughtering a village and attempted to frame the rebel fighters for it.  Vicki got shot twice, but she and her crew managed to escape.  By the time she received help, her wound were critical.  She died on the operating table, but was brought back.

She wrote a small piece on Burundi for National Geographic, opted to remain only as a freelance contributer and returned to Gotham.  She found work at the Gotham Gazette and is sharing a condo with her younger brother Louis.

Vicki was recently reunite with long time friend Bruce Wayne.  She's glad to have her old friend back to talk too.  But the pair are becoming more than friends...
