Spectre was raised in an abusive house, unable to speak without punishment. Learning to keep her mouth shut, she avoided her parents all while learning to sneak from room to room. Eventually she found herself often hiding with the Yakuza, as many of them were rather kind to her and disliked the abuse of a child. Taking this into heart, she became a member at the age of 14. Most people don't remember her past, but she was good at her job. Using a garotte to assassinate targets, such as rival leaders in their own homes, to business partners who were ratting out their deals. Eventually she came into possession of enough money to purchase weapons of her own...

 

Though, the garotte is still one of her main tools of destruction. The name Spectre comes from her innate ability to somehow materialize without one knowing, entering a room as quiet as a mouse, and leaving just as silently. In fact, nobody ever remembers what her voice is, or even if she can talk at all. Spectre follows orders on command, and has little interest in disobeying them. She has her rules though, and will not assassinate a child, or kill in front of one. She will however maim a person and incapacitate them.

 

Spectre has been betrayed by more than one Yakuza group, and thus her trust is limited. Her loyalty however is not, she is loyal to her superiors, but does not trust them... An odd combination, but in her line of duty, and with her past, trust is a very difficult thing to obtain from her.

 

There seems to be a history behind her and a child, perhaps because she remembers her abusive parents? It is often thought that she'd returned and offed her parents herself, murdering them in their own bedroom during intercourse. This story actually matches a pair of victims who were murdered in their home while making love.

 

There are rumors that are spread as to why she does not speak;

 

1) She had her tongue cut out, for various reasons.

2) That her very words themselves carry the touch of death.

 

There are more, though they are far more rare.
